Initially opened in 1974 by the Hayden family, Lawrence Creek Campground is situated on 32 acres of wooded, waterside property. Whether you’re visiting for the weekend, stopping on your way to another destination, or coming to stay for the season, Lawrence Creek Campground is the perfect spot. Maybe you’re working on a long-term project in the area, yes, we can usually accommodate you. The campground has 32 full hookup, 20/30/50-amp RV sites along with 3 primitive tent sites. Approximately 20 acres of the property is undeveloped for hiking and ATV trails, fishing and river wildlife viewing. Also available are a boat launch and dock space, pavilions for use and rentals, seasonal fishing passes and winter camper storage. There is a camp store where you can pick up forgotten supplies, snacks, souvenirs, cold beer, or play your luck with the KY lottery.
Creekside Bar is also on the property. Right on the waterfront of Lawrence Creek, the campground not only offers direct access to the creek but is a short jaunt to the Ohio River. There are campsites right on the water; a boat dock; a small launch area for Jon boats, canoes and kayaks; and both shore and boat fishing. Some of Kentucky’s best fishing is on Lawrence Creek – bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and more.
Take a walk on the trail along the creek, through the woods out to the Point where Lawrence Creek meets the Ohio River. Watch the passing boats, relax and take it all in. Get a good night’s sleep in our quiet oasis and then fantastic fishing, hike, or lounge quietly for a day to clear your head and take in all the fresh air and beauty creation has provided. Get to know your neighbors, if you like, at the comfortable Creekside Bar in the evenings, right on site. A comfortable tavern with air conditioning, a small menu, and plenty of adult beverages or soft drinks. Kick back, relax, laugh, make new friends and enjoy yourself. Pick up a game of pool, grab a table in the cool air or sit out on the deck and enjoy the view with the friendly people who camp or frequent the grounds.
