With gorgeous grounds, spacious rooms, and elegant period furnishings, the home features cable television throughout, 5 bedrooms which are completely private with separate lock and key, a large café room that seats 24 comfortably, kitchen, formal dining room, and parlor room, lounge with a hidden prohibition bar, many seating areas, plus a large front porch and balcony overlooking the river!
The Olin Guest House was originally built in 1880 by James W. Lewis, a very prominent lawyer in Meade County and the founder of the Meade County Deposit Bank, of which he was president and principal stockholder. He and his wife, Martha E (Farleigh) Lewis, had eight children and the house was built to accommodate their large family.
