The 1848 Gold Rush transformed a small trading post into the city of St Joseph. And at River Bluff Brewing, we are continuing that tradition by crafting our own “gold.” We are modern Gold Rush tradesman, living and traveling among the bluffs mixing quality hops and malt reaped from the earth. We are brewers and passionate explorers crafting unique elixirs, inspired by old and new methods. This is the quest of River Bluff Brewing, to navigate the rivers and uncover own our “liquid gold.”

The previous home of two pre-prohibition breweries, River Bluff Brewing is housed in the historic 1224 Frederick building. Visit us in the newly renovated space, and enjoy our current selection of beers and event calendar. Creating world-renowned award winning beers.

For tourists who enjoy locally crafted beer, look no further. The River Bluff Brewing company is not only one of the best breweries in Saint Joseph, it is one of the best breweries in The United States. Recently, River Bluff won a silver medal in 2019 from the Great American Beer Festival. This spot is renowned by locals and tourists alike for its great tasting beers, rustic atmosphere, and friendly service. The River Bluff Brewery has offerings for all beer lovers, crafting ales, stouts, lagers, and much more. It is also easily accessible due to its prime location on Saint Joseph’s Frederick street.
