Gaby et Jules was started by Lori and Frederic Rongier, who met in college at Penn State. One was born and raised in Altoona, PA, the other Paris, France. The couple spent 10 years in France, and in 1999 relocated to Pittsburgh and opened Paris 66, an Eastside French Bistro in 2009.

It was at Bistro 66 that the Rongier’s was introduced to award-winning French Pastry Chef, David Piquard. Piquard hails from Metz in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France and has 20 years of experience training at the world-famous patisseries Laudrée and Lenôtre. The trio founded Gaby et Jules to highlight the mastery of David Piquard’s pastries.

The name of Gaby et Jules pays homage to the respective grandfathers of Piquard and Rongier, “Gaby” and “Jules” who had dreams of opening a patisserie of their own in France that was unfulfilled. The pastries will leave you feeling immense joy, and luxury.
