Have a rare book that you are interested in finding? Want to explore Portland’s rich literary scene?
Make sure to stop by Powell’s Books, the world’s largest independent bookstore. Open daily from
10am-9pm, there is also a rare book room that is open daily from 10am-5pm. The rare book room
features select books that are some of the “most valuable” and “beautiful” antique books in the
bookstore. The room is limited to fourteen customers at a time but it is an absolute necessity to stop by
and see. There are over 3,500 sections in the store, providing a variety of books and genres for all
