This family-friendly farm is the perfect place to learn more about agriculture and history.  At the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead, you can visit more than 250 animals in addition to learning about how to grow flowers and vegetables.  Additionally, you can discover more about Kansas history—the farm features a one-room schoolhouse and a Kanza Native American encampment.  The twelve-acre farm is filled with activities, including goat-bottle feeding, fishing, playgrounds, the dairy barn, and gardens.  Most attractions at the farmstead are included in the admission fee, which is $5 for most visitors, or free after 2 p.m. on Monday-Thursday.  The farm is open seasonally, from April 1 through October 31.
