Located within Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, this house is a reconstruction of the one Lieutenant George Custer and his wife Libbie lived in from 1873 until Custer died at the Battle of the Little Big Horn in 1876.  Today, it is filled with articles owned by the Custers in addition to recreation pieces of furniture and dishware.  Interpreters in period costumes guide visitors through the house in living history tours that aim to give visitors an idea of what life was like in 1875.  The grounds also contain seven other major fort buildings, including the Commissary Great Room, the barracks, the granary, and the stables.
