Named after the biblical tale, the Ark Encounter certainly lives up to its namesake. Located in Williamstown, the Ark Encounter is a wonderful place to stop by to get a sense of what life could have been like for Noah (and what the famous Ark may have looked like). The Ark Encounter is the largest timber-frame structure in the world! Exhibits at the museum include a visual representation detailing life before the great flood, a representation of Noah’s living quarters in the Ark, and a representation of the Rainbow Covenant. In the museum, there are additionally several live animals from the Ararat Ridge Zoo. The museum is open from Wednesday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 6pm. Additionally, starting in late July, there is the 40 days and 40 Nights of Christian Music Festival. This is the largest Christian music festival in the world and open to anyone who is interested!
