Aurora Indiana….a sleepy little town along the Ohio River, nestled within the Tri-State area of Indiana/Ohio/Kentucky. The Southeastern Indiana Art Guild comprises of local artists from each of these States, who paint, draw, photograph, fire pottery and sculpt. Each Spring, in April, we like to refresh our gallery with NEW pieces created by these artists during those shut-in winter months. Located in the heart of town at Second and Main streets, you can find our doors open for extended hours for your viewing experience. The experience is free and kid-friendly.
While you are in town, check out a couple of our new eateries, including a breakfast/lunch diner, Third and Main Restaurant, 2 ice cream parlors, Combs pizza and Alejandra’s Mexican Cuisine. There is a dress shop, hardware store, flower shop, comic book store and second-hand shops. A fresh meat butcher shop and Aurora Farm and Garden.
There are bikes to rent so you can ride around town and take in the historic mansion of Hillforest and Veraestau Historic Site, or take the paved path along the Ohio river that extends from Aurora down to Lawrenceburg Indiana.
Make a day of it!
