Amber’s Antiques and Hygge Hus

Amber DePrez is the owner of Amber’s Antiques and Eclectic Treasures and the new Hygge Hus, at 211 Main Street. A recent transplant from Northern Kentucky, Amber fell in love with this small town and it’s warm and welcoming residents.

Preparing to celebrate Amber’s Antiques one year anniversary in September, she’s also celebrating the opening of the Hygge Hus!  Pronounced “Who-Guh” in Danish, this word embraces an everyday way of life for the Danes by just being or living in the moment.

At Hygge Hus, Amber has created an atmosphere of coziness where you can relax, enjoy time with others and just be.  Not only are you warmly welcomed into the “Cozy House”, but there’s always free hot coffee and ice water!  Enjoy delicious pastries and other goodies, as well as specialty items for sale.  Hang out with friends, read a book, play a game!  Saturday’s welcome Pop Up Shop businesses, offering their unique products or services to shoppers.

Not only can you shop in the now connected Amber’s Antiques, but there is also a garden shed with old tools, lawn art and garden items for sale.  Stroll into the beautiful European Style Garden where you can sip coffee and enjoy nature or gather in the Outdoor Courtyard with a private fence for more enjoyment!  The Hygge Hus and Outdoor Courtyard will be available to rent for meetings, workshops, parties and other gatherings.
