The Wildhorse Powwow, hosted by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, is steeped in centuries-old tradition. For generations, the tribes have gathered to honor their ancestors, showcase their customs and foster a sense of unity and pride. This cherished gathering continues to captivate tribal members and visitors, offering a unique insight into Native American heritage. The three-day event features drumming, singing and dancing by contestants from all over the United States and Canada. Additionally, attendees can look forward to Native American artisans, vendors and delicious food including the beloved fry bread. Since the celebrations began in 1994, the Wildhorse Powwow has remained a symbol of culture and open to all in the spirit of gathering.
