Upper Portage Camp Overlook
Explore the viewscape overlooking the Lewis and Clark Expedition’s 1805 camp at the upper-end of the portage around the Great Falls of the Missouri. This site offers a short interpretive path and a full-size model of the iron-framed boat that was constructed at the camp. From her,e you can imagine the buffalo crossing the Missouri River and the grizzly bears congregating to feast on them.
