Stafford Ferry
Located about 16 miles north of Winifred, the ferry typically operates May through November (weather dependent). Typical days and hours are Monday — Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ferry is one of only three that operate to shuttle vehicles across the Missouri.
This ferry is part of the Nez Perce Trail route (although they crossed the Missouri River at Cow Island).
