Take a step back in history and visit Deer Lodge’s Old Prison and Auto Museum, Powell County’s premier attraction! The Old Prison Museum offers both guided and self-guided tours, school tours, historical dusk tours and, during the month of October, special ghost tours known as Terror in the Cellhouse. The same building, the prison, also houses the Montana Auto Museum, filled with over 200 antique cars and rated as one of the top car museums in the US, pretty impressive for being located in a town with a population of only 3,000. The museum is open seven days a week, from 10am to 4pm, and tickets cost $18 for adults, $10 for children, and kids under six receive free admission.
