Located along the Continental Divide right on the Montana/Idaho border, Lost Trail Powder Mountain is the perfect Bitterroot destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The mountain was first founded in 1967 and is still family-owned and operated today. Open usually from late Thursday through Sunday, November through March, this family-friendly hill has a lot to offer, with over sixty trails and five ski lifts. Its location, overlapping both the Bitterroot and the Salmon National Forests creates ideal powder conditions, and over the course of the winter, around 300 inches of light, fluffy snow falls creating enviable trail conditions all season long. Strap on some skis and explore for yourself the fun time this mountain has to offer!
