The James Kipp Campground has a boat launch and close access to the Missouri River, James Kipp Recreation Area, and Charles M. Russell National Wildlife Refuge. It is the typical take out for those paddling the entire Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument.
Located near the Fred Robinson Bridge that crosses the Missouri River on US Highway 191, James Kipp Campground has 34 first-come, first-serve campsites that can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length. There are no hookups and currently no potable water. There are vault toilets, trash dumpsters and an RV waste dump.
