Garden of the Gods
Take a few moments to visit Garden of the Gods Recreation Area to soak in one of the most beautiful views in the entire state of Illinois. The Observation Trail leads hikers to a spectacular scenery filled with panoramic views and sandstone rock formations. At 1/4 mile, the trail is short but steep. Benches along the way allow for rest, and rest assured, the hike is worth the effort. Be cautious when approaching the edges of the observation areas.
