The Fremont County Barn Quilt Trail in Iowa’s most southwestern county began as a project ide of Percival Hometown Pride members in 2018. The goal was to enhance the beauty of the county and to encourage tourism throughout Fremont County. Several barn quilt workshops were conducted with participants from the age of 9 to 90! They reached out to workshop participants and other Hometown Pride groups in order to make this a countywide project, Then the Fremont County Barn Quilt Committee was formed in the county. A mobile friendly website was made for the trail. The trail began in 2023. Enjoy following the map and see the quilts.
