Andalusia Historic House, Gardens & Arboretum
Andalusia was home to Nicholas Biddle who was the first to edit and paraphrase the journals of Lewis and Clark. His signed copy is at the house.
The Federal Style structure was re-designed in 1806 by architect Benjamin Latrobe who also designed the Washington Capitol and White House. The house provides tours, much of the garden is open to the public, and the arboretum also has a stunning view of the Schuylkill River.
