Willard Family Reunion at the Saltworks – Seaside, OR

At the age of 25, while serving at Fort Kaskaskia in the Illinois Territory, Alexander Hamilton Willard voluntarily enlisted in the Corps of Discovery.

The Willard family descendants established a family association that hosts an annual reunion. This year’s event will take place in Seaside, OR, where Alexander’s contributions as a member of the Expedition will be honored. Highlights of the reunion include tours of the Saltworks, a presentation by Kris Townsend, and visits to Fort Clatsop, along with other special events.
