LCTA Washington Chapter annual meeting

The Washington Chapter of the Lewis & Clark Trail Alliance will hold its 28th annual meeting March 15 in Pasco, Wash.

The speaker will be Dick Scheuerman, historian and author of many books about the Pacific Northwest, from the Palus people to early agriculture and immigration.

When Lewis and Clark encountered the Palus people in October 1805, the explorers called them “Pallotepellows.” Tribal members were expert horsemen.
