Lewis and Clark at the Three Forks: New Conclusions
- Location: 4201 Giant Springs Road, Great Falls, MT, USA (View on Google Maps) Start Date: April 8, 2025
- Start Time: 7:00 pm
Join retired award-winning Great Falls High teacher, Lewis and Clark re-enactor, and historian Norman Anderson to learn more about Lewis and Clark at the Three Forks. The program takes place at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at 4201 Giant Springs Road in Great Falls, Montana, and is free to the public. It starts at 7 pm on April 8.
In late July 1805, the Lewis and Clark Expedition arrived at what we now call Three Forks, Montana, where the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin Rivers converge to form the Missouri River. It was also where Sacagawea recognized her homeland. Through extensive research, Anderson has now discovered where he thinks are several key locations for their activity in the area.
This program is a continuation of the Ida Johnson Lecture Series, and is sponsored by the Portage Route Chapter of the Lewis and Clark Trail Alliance. For more information, please call the Interpretive Center at (406) 727-8733 or visit the Lewis & Clark Foundation Facebook page located at https://www.facebook.com/lewisandclarkfoundation.
