Crossroads of a Nation
Film Screening
- Location: Missouri History Museum, Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO, USA (View on Google Maps) Start Date: July 24, 2025
- Start Time: 5:00 pm
Join us for a screening of Crossroads of a Nation, a one-hour documentary presented by Missouri Humanities Council and Kansas City PBS that details the history of Missouri as a crossroads of the nation as it expanded west across the continent. From the region’s indigenous cultures to the brink of the Civil War, this film traces Missouri’s indelible—and undeniable—mark on American history. After the film, stay for a special talkback with producer and St. Louis media mainstay Cat Neville; historian and elder Galen Gritts (Cherokee); Washington University assistant professor of History Peter Kastor; and Missouri Historical Society public historian Andrew Wanko.
Join us in the Grand Hall before our main-stage event to enjoy food and drinks available for purchase. Visit our Historian’s Corner to learn more about Missouri’s Indigenous history and enjoy other activities that look at Missouri’s past. Don’t forget to stop in the Collected exhibit to view an Osage treaty and learn other stories of our region.
