Birdwatching Weekend at John James Audubon State Park on Saturday, Feb. 15th, includes birding activities throughout the day. All ages/birding skill levels are welcome! These activities will take place at the Audubon Museum: Audubon Park Feeder Counts for GBBC–9 A.M., and again at 11 A.M.–Help count feeder guests to submit data to the Great backyard Bird Count. FREE. What’s that Bird? Tips on Identifying Your Backyard Guests–10 A.M.–Learn what to look for to tell one bird from another. FREE. Feathered Friends Around Us Birding Hike—12:30 P.M.—Watch and listen for birds on this 1-mile guided trail walk. Meets on the Museum front lawn. FREE. Crafting for the Birds—1:45 P.M.—Drop in to this workshop and craft a seed-covered treat for the birds of your yard. Suitable for all ages. $5 per craft, while supplies last. Flying into Citizen Science: Ways to Make Birdwatching Count–3 P.M.–Discuss how to make your birdwatching meaningful! FREE. Questions?
