The River Discovery Center(link is external) is hosting the Dragon Boat Festival on September 6, 2025, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. along Paducah’s riverfront. The event will include dragon boat races, food, a beer garden, and a kids play area that includes face painting and bounce houses. There is no charge to come out to cheer your team to victory.
Beginning on the afternoon of September 5, the riverfront at the foot of Broadway will be closed to vehicular traffic. It will remain closed until the end of the event on Saturday, September 6.
