The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Experience remains dedicated to engaging with the programs stakeholders and community partners that provide the project with valuable insights into traveling sustainable along the Trail. The toolkits below includes videos and audio clips from a few of our many program partners and provide expertise to share with site/attraction managers inside your destination. Topics are centered around each of the following three categories:
History of the Lewis and Clark Expedition: Local historians present unique and destination specific stories about the Lewis and Clark Expedition and how they helped to shape life today in the United States.
Citizen Science: Universities, interpretive centers and biology field stations are numerous along the trail. Aligning sustainability efforts with experts from these sites will allow the opportunity for partners to better understand the value of the trail from a scientific perspective.
Sustainably Restarting & Reimagining Tourism: The overall landscape of tourism has been altered as a result of COVID-19 with domestic travel to small communities, rural areas and the outdoors gaining in popularity. The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Experience will continue to provide updates and tools that give partners tips and advice on how to better serve guests in a safe and distanced manner.
Our bi-weekly newsletter provides news, history, and information for those interested in traveling along along the Lewis & Clark Trail.
